Galaxy S3 Android 4.3A recent spot of Android 4.3 in the GFXBenchmark for AT&T's Samsung Galaxy S3 suggest that an update is really close.Galaxy S3 users all around the world are expecting an update for a few months now. The device hasn't even received Android 4.2 and this can become really frustrating for many. However recent rumors are strongly indicating that the old flagship will skip Android 4.2 and will go straight to Android 4.3.The fact that a recent benchmark test for an AT&T Galaxy S3 shows us a version of Android 4.3 was used on the device gives us hope that an update is near. As you can see from the image below, Android 4.3 is indicated as a tested operating system, but as we know from past benchmark results can be faked. However they can also indicated future updates, such as this case. We cannot know for sure but what we do know is that Samsung has promised the an update for Galaxy S3 in October and they should keep that promise and make it a good one.Galaxy S3 Android 4.3If Galaxy S3 gets updated to Jelly Bean 4.3 it will get new features such as the Low Energy Bluetooth. The version of Android 4.3 spotted in the benchmark results has build number JSS15J and it comes from September. This can definitely be a test firmware for Galaxy S3, even though it is curious that it comes from AT&T. As we all know, carriers are the last ones to update their devices to the latest Android versions so it wouldn't surprise us if AT&T does the same with Android 4.3.Galaxy S3 currently runs on the 4.1.2 version of Android with the Premium Suite being the last update that came from Samsung. We are looking at a series of devices already being updated to Jelly Bean 4.3 and with Android KitKat 4.4 already being officially announced by Google we should have to wait any longer to get the update, at least on the Galaxy S3.Android 4.3 is not necessarily a big update, as the fact that it is still called Jelly Bean indicates it, but we all know that without Custom ROMs we can get really bored with our phones. At that point only an official update with a bunch of new goodies could make us love our device as we once used to. Google knows this and so should Samsung because they have a very bad reputation at updating devices to the latest Android version, especially devices that are not the latest flagship (i.e Galaxy S4, Note 3).So Samsung, come on already, give us Android 4.3 at least for Galaxy S3.
